Three facts about myself:

1. Since January 2019, my husband and I have been living in India. It has been full of challenges and adventures, routines we needed to get used to, but we are making the most of it and enjoying our time here.

2. I have self-published two books and I am querying my third one. I love the first two but I adore my latest manuscript and really want people to have the chance to read it. One way or the other.

3. I get really irked when people don’t push the chair back under the table when they get up and leave. Am I the only one that gets annoyed by that?

I go for alphabetically organizing the authors and having all of their works together.

The last two books I read (Imperfect Match and P.S. I Love You) were both very good.

A friend made me a bookmark as a farewell present and I love it. It’s Harry Potter themed and wide and big so I can’t lose it in the couch.

I love reading in the armchair next to the big window, outside on the balcony while getting some tan, or next to the sea or pool.

I want to read 50 books this year.

1. Is there a genre you don’t read and why?

2. What is your favorite medium for book sharing? Any tips?

3. If you are a bookworm, could you be in a relationship with someone that can’t stand reading?

4. How many books do you own or have in your home that you haven’t read yet?

5. If someone gives you a book recommendation that they absolutely love and can’t tell you enough how much they love it, but you don’t have the same opinion as them, would you be honest?

NOMINATIONS: I want you all to do this! I insist 🙂

I would love to read your answers in the comments or make a post and send me the link.

FAVORITE BLOG POST: It will be one where I announce my third book coming out.

Liebster Award

I’m cheating here because I wasn’t nominated but I read the tag on Bookish Luna and thought it would be fun to do. Go check that post out and give me your answers to the questions in the comments. 🙂

1. What book/s can you not live without?

It’s probably the most common answer but… I don’t care. It’s the Harry Potter series. I have so many fond memories of it and it’s been a part of my life for so long.

2. Your first favorite book?

I wrote an entire and a completely different answer and had to delete it, cursing myself out. How could I’ve forgotten it?? My 1st favorite book was Beauty and the Beast. I need to get a new copy because I’ve lost the old one. Well didn’t lose it, my parents did in our move years ago. 🙂

3. Goodreads challenge/reading goal for this year?

It’s 24 books.

4. Favorite series?

What do you think? 🙂

5. Do you read Fanfiction?

Never tried it.

6. Where is your favorite place to read?

On a beach.

7. Are you a fast or slow reader?

I guess a fast reader. If I like it, I’ll devour it.

8. Do you use bookmarks?

Yes. The strangest thing happened on Sunday. I sat down on the couch to read, I opened the book and set the bookmark aside. But since then I can’t find it anywhere. And I’ve checked everywhere! It’s bugging me.

9. What book do you recommend the most to others?

Anything by Colleen Hoover. I love her writing. Her last novel that I recommended to someone was Maybe Someday.

10. Where do you buy your books?

When we lived in Slovenia I ordered them online, but now that we are living in India, I still need to find a bookstore and so I’m mostly buying e-books.

11. What book do you dislike that everyone seems to love?

I’m trying really hard to find the answer…but I can’t think of anything. Oh, wait. Last year I read Dear Jane by Kendall Ryan and it has a 3.77 score on Goodreads which I think is pretty good but I didn’t. Like. It. At. All.

What are your answers? Do we any in common?

THIS or THAT challenge

After reading posts I came across this challenge and since I’m having all my creative juices flowing into creating new covers for my first and second book I’m taking the easy way out and instead of writing a story I’m going to answer the questions below. I’m admiting it shamelessly. 🙂

Shower in the morning or in the evening?

I’d say that most of the time I shower in the evening. I like going to bed so fresh and so clean, clean.

City center or close to nature?

What about city center where there is a huge park right next to it? Or even better…a city center and there is a beach very, veeeeeery close by. I want the best of both worlds. 🙂

Bright colors or neutrals?

I like a bright color but to be honest I mostly wear neutrals.

Weird or stupid?

Weird. I can’t deal with stupid.

Spring or autumn?

Spring because I know summer is coming and I adore sunny, hot weather.

Mint or cinnamon?

Both actually. Mint with chocolate and cinnamon with apples.

Planned or spontaneous?

I’m a person who likes things to be planned because it makes me feel more productive. But when it comes to vacations… No, still need it to be planned.

A movie at home or at the movie theater?

That’s hard to say. I love going to the movie theater. Mainly because of the snacks! 😉

Espresso or latte?

Latte, extra foam please. I tried chai latte and absolutely loved it.

Asking questions or answering questions?

Asking questions because I hate when people throw gazillion questions at me. Even more frustrating is when someone asks me the same question over and over again because they don’t bother remembering the answer.

Hugs or kisses?

Handshakes. 🙂

Spicy or mild food?

Definitely spicy! I love cayenne pepper.

Leather or lace?

Leather. I must have a leather jacket and skirt in my wardrobe. That reminds me…come fall I need a new pair of leather pants.

Overdressed or under-dressed?

Always overdressed. I like looking and feeling put together.

Adventure or comfort?

It depends on the situation. I’d like some adventure in my comfort and some comfort in my adventures.

TV-series or movies?

Rock or country music?

Ha ha, rock without any doubt!

Red or white wine?

White. I don’t like red.

Working alone or in a team?

Either. I like working alone but I’d also say I’m a good team player.

Swimming or sunbathing?

I. Refuse. To. Choose.

Fast food or sit-down restaurant?

It depends on the occasion. If we’re talking about a date then I’d surely go with a sit-down restaurant.

Matched or mismatched socks?

Matched. I don’t even want to think about having mismatched socks. 🙂

Dancing or singing?

Singing while dancing.

What would your answers be? Do we agree on anything? Let me know.

Bookish This or That Tag

I saw this one on a blog and I thought I would try it. So here it goes…

Audiobook or textbook?

I’ve never tried listening to an audiobook and I can’t imagine ever trying it. I just love the feeling of choosing and buying a book, finding the time to open it and actually read it by myself.

Paperback or hardback?

Paperback because I always carry a book with me and they’re lighter and easier to cram onto bookshelves and into bags.

Fiction or Non-Fiction?

Fiction. Fiction. Fiction. I’ve only read a few non-fiction books. If I were to choose it, it would have to be something I’m really interested in, maybe something that can educate me on life (something philosophical or something similar).

Harry Potter or Twilight?

I’ve read both and at the time of reading each I enjoyed it but I wouldn’t go and re-read Twilight. So without a single doubt… Harry Bloody Potter. I’d say that Twilight has Robert Pattinson going for it but then again so does HP.

Bookshop or online?

In a perfect scenario it would be a bookshop. Walking between aisles filled with books, my arms and shopping basket overflowing with new picks, but to be honest I don’t have that option anywhere near me so I opt for buying books online. And I love getting books in the mail, opening the box and having a brand new book to read.

Standalone or trilogy?

It’s hard to say. If it’s a standalone and it’s really good then I’d want it to continue in two more books. But if it’s not that great and there are three…I’m screwed.

Sweet and short or heavy and long?

Heavy and long. Why does that sound dirty? (Probably because I have a dirty mind.)

Cosy read or reading in the sun?

Anywhere and anytime.

However, I’m more of a summer person so my perfect day would be made of a beach, a book, a cocktail and some music.

Hot chocolate or coffee?

Neither. Give me some warm green tea with lemon and ginger, sweetened with honey and I’m happy.

What would your answers be? Let me know in the comments or do the tag. 🙂

Tag, I’m it

I’ve had these questions in my drafts for a while now, actually for so long that I can’t remember who tagged me and what the name of the tag was/is. So if anyone recognizes themselves, please let me know.

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

I turn off the alarm clock and send a prayer. (Before cursing for having to wake up and go to work.)

Do you believe there are still good people in this world?

I wholeheartedly do. I refuse to think there is more badness than goodness. And also some people are good and can do a bad thing, and some people might be bad and do something good and nice. Black and white might look good together but it’s not that simple.

What’s your favorite ice cream?

The one in my hand.

What will be your next vacation?

I think something on the Croatian coast. Besides that, I also have my bachelorette trip and honeymoon to consider. But none of it is soon enough!!!

Have you ever done something you regret?

Who hasn’t? I used to obsess over mistakes I make and have made but now I try to learn from all of it, forgiving myself for faults and moving on. I don’t like to think about regrets, I view them as lessons.

What’s your favorite tv show?

Friends and Will & Grace.

What’s the last dream you had?

I remember dreaming that someone was chasing me through the dark streets tonight. I woke up but I can’t remember the details. It’s been a busy and stressful week and my subconscious doesn’t let sleep stop it.

Do you believe in karma?

Oh, I’m a huge supporter of it. I adore it. I believe that sooner or later everyone gets what they deserve. I would just like it to be even more active and productive. Karma needs to step it up.

What’s one memory from your childhood you won’t forget?

I have quiet a few happy memories from my childhood. And of course some less happy. I’m trying to think of one that is more vivid or important than the rest but I can’t pinpoint it.

Have you ever had a bad experience with someone on WordPress?

No. Everyone has been really nice and lovely people. That’s one of the best things about WP – the people that you can interact with.

Did you enjoy my questions?

Nope. 😉

The Real Neat Blog Award

The lovely Kari Lynn M nominated me on her blog for this award and I thought it would be fun to jump into answering her questions today. I just hope there are no questions about favorites because I absolutely suck at those.

Here it goes…

1. How often do you write? How much do you write during a writing session?

I write as often as I can. I crawl in an imaginary hole, hidden from the rest of the world, I pull my laptop out (my precious) and start typing away. But it depends how much I write during one session – anywhere between a word and a chapter.

2. What are your favorite scenes from any movies, shows, games, ect.?

(Shit.)  I can’t name favorite movies, shows etc. how the hell am I supposed to name my favorite scenes?? I just don’t knooow.

I’m trying to think of something. Okay, the scene in Wonder Woman when Diana gets out of the gutter during the battle and defeats the enemy, giving every one on her side hope and faith. I’d love to read that scene described in a book. It would be spectacular to read.

Oh, and seeing the end credits of the Mortal Instruments movie because boy, oh, boy…they didn’t do a good job.

When it comes to TV shows… I’m in a bit of slump currently. I did start watching Game of Thrones so maybe naming a favorite scene won’t be as challenging after a few days/weeks.

3. What writers or authors do you look up to/admire?

I admire anyone that writes and publishes a book or series, and consequently manages to create a world of fans that are beyond loyal and adore the book(s). That is simply phenomenal. It must be an incredible feeling. It’s hard to name people because there are so many that either pioneer a genre, or develop it further, or offer something refreshing. And anyone that can stand the test of time, remaining significant after many years, decades even…deserves all the admiration and praise.

There are really so many: J.K. Rowling, Tolkien, Emily Brontë (I love Wuthering Heights.), Thomas Hardy, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Agatha Christie, Suzanne Collins… And then I enjoy reading a lot of contemporaries, especially in romance genre.

4. If you could change any part of anything you’ve ever written… what would you change, or would you decide to not change anything?

I’ve written one romance novel and am currently writing the second one in the series. Despite the hurricane of self-doubt and self-consciousness being ever-present inside my mind, I don’t think I would change anything about my first book. I am a strong believer in no regrets because our past and the actions in it have brought us to the present moment. And changing one element can alter the now.

What I would do differently is that I’d start blogging, promoting the book and sharing the process of writing beforehand and not at the time of actually publishing it.

5. What’s your favorite dessert?

I. Am. Such. A. Sugar. Junkie. I like anything and everything sweet. I’d say that ice cream takes the prize for me. It’s so difficult to resist it (and mostly I don’t even bother); especially when summer is as hot as this year.

giphy (2).gif

6. What all genres of writing have you experimented with before? Which ones, if there are any, would you like to try in the future?

I’ve only written contemporary romance so far but I’ve got a few ideas that would not fit into this particular genre and I can’t wait to explore them. I’m attracted to writing NA fantasy.

7. Do you listen to music while you write? If so, what do you listen to the most or what helps you write the most?

I normally don’t write without listening to something but it depends on the mood I’m in. Sometimes I go for classical, sometimes for rock, r’n’b, hip-hop, and sometimes for whatever is popular now. I love choosing one song on YouTube and then write, letting the songs continue on randomly. There are hands thrown in the air, hair flipped, loud singing and fingers typing away the words.

8. And… bonus question… Have you ever been or would you ever go skydiving?

I have never been but it’s been on my bucket list for quite a few years. I just need to do it before my age grows and my courage diminishes.

See you on Thursday! 😉

Happiness Tag

It’s been a hectic and stressful week and so I wanted to do something light and positive. I came cross this tag on Scribbledstories514 and thought it seemed like fun, so here it goes.

1. I have to put my loved ones first (because they are demanding bastards that I don’t want to insult; just kidding 😉 ). I love spending time with them and share some laughs, or just sit with them and be quiet, meditating.

2. Writing makes me beyond happy. I feel most like myself when writing and there is nothing I rather do.

3. Reading great and interesting books makes me very happy. I love exiting my reality and read my way into fiction.

4. Summer and lying on a beach (of course, while writing or reading), with the ocean breeze around me, is what I call paradise. I’m so excited to start my summer holidays.

5. Playing some music and dancing (in my room, or at a party) like a deranged dancing maniac is something that jolts me from a bad day. There is no room for a sour mood when dancing and listening to music.

1. LP: Muddy Water – Her voice is simply enchanting.

2. Luis Fonsi, ft. Daddy Yankee: Despacito – I can’t stop myself from dancing when I hear it. It’s just the perfect song for summer.

3. Kaleo: Way Down We Go – I’m a sucker for a deep, raw voice and some blues. They’re a great band.

4. The Last Shadow Puppets: Pattern – Alex Turner can musically do no wrong in my book. Their album is great but the start of this song… OMG!

5. The Beatles: Come Together – How can there be any list, anywhere in the world, at any time, done by anyone, and not have The Beatles on it?

The Blogger Recognition Award

Thank you so much to who nominated me for The Blogger Recognition Award. I’m really sorry it’s taken me this long to actually sit down and do it but life has been hectic and I’m simply focused on writing my second romance novel.

How I started my blog?

Primarily, I started this blog in order to promote my book. I wanted to reach a wider audience and I also thought that it would enable me to practice my craft and to develop as a writer. And my sister wouldn’t stop pestering me until I did it. 😉 And I’m so happy I did.

I’ve come to really enjoy it because I’ve found very interesting bloggers and have read brilliant things.

Advice for new bloggers:

I don’t especially like giving advice because I think that I’m still learning myself. But what I personally try to remember when blogging is that you should be honest and genuine. Don’t create a fake personality. And have fun. Don’t take it too seriously and don’t get hung up on followers, likes and comments. Blog because you want to, write what you want to write.
